Words of Wisdom | Desika Shlokha

Children recited individually the previous two slokas - Guru brahma & Shuklam bharadharam. Please let them continue to practice daily in the morning.

Children learnt about the following Words of Wisdom:


* Maathru Devo Bhava - Respect Mother as god.
* Pithru Devo Bhava - Respect Father as god
* Achaarya Devo Bhavo - Respect Teacher as god
* Athithi Devo Bhava - Respect guests as god

They are supposed to practice saying the above words of wisdom at home.

Children learnt about the Desika Stotram:

Sriman Venkata Naatharyaha Kavithaarkika kesari
Vedantha aacharya variyome Sannidhaththaam Sadha hrudhi !

Please ask the child to recite the above shlokha along with the previous shlokhas *aloud, daily*.

A 'Guru' is one who removes darkness by giving knowledge.  To that end, mom and dad were the first gurus to any child as they teach a child the first lessons.  Respecting a guru is important and it starts with respecting mom & dad first.

Kids were told about a story of Fat cat versus small mouse and how the small mouse, by listening to a guru's advice was able to overcome the cat's bullying.
